 I'm deeply in love with this photo...The concept first appeared when a friend of mine was talking about a friend of hers' experiences in a highly competitive ballet school. Apparently just before competitions, some girls are prepared to put drawing pins in the end of other girls' ballet slippers to bring them out of the competition... I would not like to be pushed to such an extreme. I guess there is such a thing as a passion for ballet. Model, photo and postprocessing all by me. Postprocessing: Applied 'Afga' filter and white border in PhotoScape, otherwise unedited, uncropped. Origine du concept: On m'a ranconté comme quoi les filles dans les grandes écoles de danse à Paris sont prêtes à tout, même à mettre des punaises dans les chaussons des autres, pour gagner une competition. I love the picture and the concept... I also love ballet. I know one professional dancer who has probably been through something like this. She is the essence of grace and beauty but she has the ugliest feet on the planet! Years of ballet and broken toes have taken their toll, what's under the sweet looking shoes can also be interesting. -- The Yard Collective [link] Check it out!
